Standing in the Rain

Have you ever been caught in a storm? The lightning flashes, the thunder booms, and the rain comes down so hard you can hardly see? You run along crazily, while the wind tries to blow you over, and you dash into your home soaked to the skin...
Some children are scared of storms, but other children love them!
I happen to be one of those people who wishes there was a storm every month. When one finally comes along, I put my rain coat and boots on, and stuff my hands into my pockets, and go for a walk. Sometimes I pull my hood up, but other times I just don't care, and the rain washes my face and hair.
I'm lucky enough to live in the country, so I can go down to the river and watch the muddy water swirl along. Sticks and little trees go floating by, while the rain makes the water look as if its boiling. I can hear stones bumping and bouncing under the water too.
Sometimes I feel sorry for people who don't like storms. I see them tucked away in their warm, dry houses, with their backs to the windows, and their eyes glued to their TV's. They're missing all the fun! The real fun is outside, where the weather roars about, and the clouds growl, and the rain tries to wash the world away!
