Wording of this Handout:

If God became a Man, what might we expect to see?

First of all, you might expect that Man to have an unusual entrance into life.
Jesus was born of a virgin, in a stable, announced by angels, and later worshipped by wise men from eastern lands.

Second, you might expect that Man to be sinless.
Jesus, was sinless.

Third, you might expect that Man to have supernatural powers.
Jesus could change one element into another, walk on water, read minds, reverse death, heat all kinds of illness, control the weather, walk on water, predict the future and pass through things.

Fourth, you might expect that Man to speak as if he was different to other people.
Jesus constantly told people that God was his Father, that he was older than Abraham, that he was soon going back to heaven, that he was greater than Solomon, that he was the source of life, etc, etc.

From the moment Jesus appears in the New Testament he is different from everybody else. The people say so, his followers say so, and his enemies say so.

The Bible says: "All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son but the Father, nor does any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom the Son may be pleased to reveal him'. Matthew 11:27 (Darby translation)
