Frauds and fakes.

Through my Christian life I have come across many things which have turned out to be frauds and fakes. For example there was a story going round that angels were hopping into and out of cars in the North Island, delivering messages, before they disappeared. Not a single story was ever proven.

Another one came from Russia. It was said that Russian workers, drilling for oil, had heard demons shouting to them from the bottom of one of their holes. It turned out to be an atheist's joke.

A more recent one was the claim that God was replacing amalgam fillings with gold, and dropping angel's wing feathers, and gold dust on people. Not a single verifiable gold filling was found, and the gold dust turned out to be plastic.

The fact is, for every true thing from God there is usually a rash of fakes. The fakes don't prove that there is a real, but they do tend to mislead the gullible and naive into fairyland. So be careful what you believe. Make sure it is solidly based on thorough Bible study!

How come they always know we're not real angles?!
