Just you and God.

Apart from times when church discipline has to be practiced for immorality, the whole Christian life is a walk between two people - just you and God. No-one else is allowed a look in. Its exactly the same as a married couple. How they live together, the decisions they make and the way they relate to each other, are totally their business. If they have children, even the children are not allowed into the adult decisions unless invited.

Its as if the only person on earth is you, and God has no-one else to be with!

Which means that you allowed to make up your own mind about what you eat, what you wear, who you fellowship with, how you pray, what you sing, where you live and so on. The only guide you have is the Bible, and you must obey it, but after that, you are free to improvise and be creative.

Unfortunately, some Christians think its their 'job' to poke and pry into other Christian's lives. These nosey-parkers like to make everyone conform to their own personal views about things, and they can get mad if other Christians don't do what they want.

So what do you do about this? Ignore them. Follow God's word and your own conscience, and let the critics find someone else to pick on. After all, its you, and you alone who has to stand before God - not you and you critics!
