A Treasured Mother
I originally wrote this poem for my mother-in-law's funeral, several years ago.

WHEN JESUS WEPT
Jesus wept with heartbroken Mary and Martha. Jesus wept at Gethsemane, Believers wept at their loss. Someday it is the accusers who will wept.

TEARS
There are different types of tears--of joy, of fear, of grief, of regret. The answer to all lie at the foot of the Cross.

BOYHOOD OF JESUS
Wonder what Jesus's boyhood was like? Since He came and lived as human flesh, perhaps he enjoyed what most boys enjoy. It also must have been a time of preparation. If we want to know Jesus we must do so in our heart. We don't need portraits.

THE TEMPTERS CALL
Satan continues to harass us even after we are saved. He would love to destroy our witness to others and cause us to misuse our liberty. Be on guard that you do not allow fleshly weakness and Satan's lies to embarrass yourself before Christ.

WHERE CAN CHRIST BE FOUND
The expectation of Messiah began even before His birth--as prophesied in the Old Testament. These prophecies were fulfilled in the New Testament as searchers found Him during different phases of his ministry. Anyone who opens their heart can find Him.

A CUP OF WINE
Jesus shed his blood on the cross for us. He alone can give us eternal life. At the Last Supper took the cup, gave thanks saying "This is My blood of the new covenant which is shed for many." Joy will overcome the cost of accepting this wine.

WOE TO EARTH
Matthew 24 prophecies are now in today's news alerts. How long these events will continue or how intense they shall become, no one knows. Let us warn as many as possible. Poetry can be a tool. "do not treat prophecies with contempt" 1 TH: 5:20

THE DEVIL HAS COME DOWN
Are we seeing the end of the Gentile Age? Perhaps. Revelation warns that when Satan sees his time is short, he will become enraged, knowing he cannot avoid judgement. Whether now or much later, now is the time to embrace Christ for wisdom and protection
