God is still the same. As Scripture says, with God there is no "variableness nor shadow of turning." We may live in a different dispensation, but we serve the same God. Our faith should lay hold of the reality of His presence and power.

Recollection
This is a poem about the sad realization that my grandfather was really gone, but the happy and more powerful realization of where he had gone to. Heaven is real, and we should be comforted by what the Bible says about the hope laid up in heaven.

Life from the Dead
Though we celebrate the Resurrection every week, it seems fitting that a day be set aside each year for special focus. Not only is it fitting to have a day like Easter, it seems fitting that it is in the spring when we see nature returning to life.

We can have confidence in the Word of God and the promises He has made to believers. Our confidence is not based on our performance or strength, but solely upon Christ who has won the victory for us.
