I have a series called "Excerpt from Certain Psalms" and this is one of the Psalms. Psalm 3, a psalm of deliverance. The metre used in these chosen psalms enable the psalm to be sung. "St. Peter" is but one tune.

A SIMPLE FARMER’S DITTY
As it says, "a simple ditty." That means a plain and simple look at the goodness of God in a country or rural setting.

BEWARE THE FOWLER
Psalm. 91:3 in the KJV reads, "Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence." The fowler traps birds with snares and traps. Satan lays traps to ensnare God's children and we are in a warfare. We must beware

More and more people think Christmas is about having a good time, giving presents, getting drunk and meeting family. So very few think about the true meaning behind Christmas and this poem attempts to answer what "THE PRESENT" of Christmas is all about.
