Creation Poetry

I Witness the Lord's Glory finalist in poetry contest
This poem is a testimony to God's glory - the splendor of His creation. "I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving," (Psalm 69:30, KJV), for what I have witnessed - the beauty God created for all to see.

His Hands
The Lord our God created all things - He fashioned the world, and all belongs to Him . . . How blessed are we that He shares all of His Creation with us - Our mighty, all-powerful King.

Quenching Rains second in poetry contest
This poem is about God's Creation being parched - in need of rain to quench its thirst. (See Isaiah 35: 6-7, KJV)

The Gift He Sent My Way
God blesses us each day - He sends gifts our way, and when we open our eyes to them, we can truly appreciate the beauty in each gift.

The Lord's Creation finalist in poetry contest
This prayer declares the Glory of God and the splendor of His Creation.

Wonder finalist in poetry contest
Have you ever stopped to really look at Creation and appreciate the gifts that God has bestowed upon us? There is such beauty surrounding us - all treasures from our loving and generous God who was, is, and ever shall He be.

Wonder finalist in poetry contest
Have you ever wondered how all things came to be - did you notice the beauty of God's Creation? "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth . . . And God saw every thing that he made, and, behold, it was very good."(Genesis 1:1, 31, KJV

He's There
I wrote this poem as a way of describing how I see the presence of the Lord all around me.

Creation Songs first in poetry contest
I wrote this poem in 2002, while sitting on the porch in a country setting in Franklin County, Alabama, as I was watching the cotton in the fields swaying back and forth.
