God's mercy I did not deserve
Yet You sent Your Son to save and serve.
In guilt and shame I hid my face
But You come to me instead with grace.
Jesus took my sin to make me whole
And You alone are in control.
Fear can overwhelm no longer,
My Savior's love is always stronger.
So in the Lord I shall rejoice;
I can always lift a joyful voice.
For I have seen Your many blessings
Through highs, lows, and second guessings.
When I am broken, lost, and hurt
As I wander through this dry desert,
I'll rejoice in who I know You are
And remember what You've done so far.
I'll turn my anxious thoughts to prayer
So remind me that You're always there.
Understanding You can take some time.
Your will and mine don't always rhyme.
I'm thankful that to here You've led
And I can trust You for what's ahead.
Now help me to align with You
As You shape me into someone new.
Your peace, beyond all comprehension,
Relieves my deeply rooted tension.
Tranquility is what I find
As You calm my heart, my soul, my mind.
You turn my thoughts to what is true,
What is noble, right, and pure to You.
You I love and I admire;
Excellent praise, Lord, You inspire.
Lord, what is next I do not know.
But in faith and trust I will follow.
All wisdom will leave me no choice
But to seek to hear Your guiding voice.
