I Want To Know You More

I sit down at the table,
I bow my head in prayer,
Such a sacred moment,
And You always meet me there.

As I open up the Bible,
I read from word to word,
I know that You are speaking,
Your voice is being heard.

You beckon me to come closer,
As You stand knocking at the door,
So I open up my heart to You
I want to know You more.

And as I turn the pages,
Your story starts to unfold,
A God of grace and mercy,
The greatest love ever told.

Stepping into humanity,
You descended from Your throne,
Taking all my sins upon Yourself,
As if they were Your own.

You defeated sin and death,
With the perfect life You gave.
Now You stand victorious,
Because You rose up out of the grave.

This isn't just a story,
Your every word is true.
So I make You my priority,
There isn't anything I'd rather do.

Someday I will meet You,
And into your arms I'll run.
I'll finally see my precious Savior,
God's one and only Son.
