This God of Mine

Majestic, graceful, loving
is this God on high;
Almighty, thoughtful, refuge
He hears my every sigh.

Redeemer, Savior, faithful
His love will never end;
Creator, Father, shepherd
He is my greatest friend.

Powerful, holy, righteous
with glory beyond compare;
Prodigal, reckless, mercy
all His goodness does He share.

Breath giver, joyous, precious
we need to give Him praise;
Nourisher, molder, craftsman
He designs all our days.

Infinite, truthful, pure
life given by His call;
Immense, sovereign, sure
catching us when we fall.

Transforming, peaceful, sunshine
forgiving all my sin;
Sustainer, fullness, justice
with Him all things begin.

Still water, meadow, comfort
may we rest in Him today;
Intimate, sacred, blessing
may we fall to knee and pray.

Note: Prodigal" definition - extravagant; having or giving something on a lavish scale; using resources freely and recklessly. This sounds like my God to me! Reckless means free and generous and without restriction - in this context.
