The Death Angel Passes

Yes, Death shall come to every door
just like the Angel then.
What it found is what determined
if life continued, men.

The door should show a cross in blood
marking hands, feet and head.
Now only then would Death pass by
and leave them to their bed.

That was the course that God had set
in Egypt long ago,
to test the son's of Israel
and that - He made it so.

Today He looks, yes, for the same,
now found inside the heart.
The spirit of the Son inside
a cross in features part.

For He's the one who died that way
marking hands, head and feet.
God seen inside a fearing heart
as Death, He ever beat.

Only then shall we live again,
the blood upon our door.
That Christ be found inside our heart,
inside our very core.

Exodus 12:23
For the Lord will pass through to strike Egypt, and when he sees the blood on the top of the door frame and the two side posts, then the Lord will pass over the door, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.
