"He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day."
(Psalm 91:4–5, NLT)
The good LORD shelters me each day
beneath His feathered wing.
I snuggle up in His Haven,
protected by my King.
I'm safe from harm while in His care —
I'm never left alone.
I do not fear what lies ahead —
I don't dread the unknown.
The good LORD shields me from the dark —
from battles that aren't seen.
Although there's warfare all around
God keeps my soul serene.
His faithful promises are kept —
He shields me night and day.
I'm armored in a Suit of God
so I do not fall prey.
I do not wrestle flesh and blood
nor principalities,
nor rulers of the deep dark world
who taunt —who lure —who tease.
Because I'm sheltered by the LORD
and angels fight for me.
They battle a dark, hidden world —
a world I do not see.
Therefore. . .
I do not fear the dark of night,
nor arrows sent my way.
God keeps me safe beneath His wing,
and that is where I'll stay.
