Psalm 23 (slightly expanded)

by Paul Purday
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/PaulPurdayPaintings?ref=seller-platform-mcnav

Within the green, green pastures of the pleasant lea
The Lord, my Shepherd causes me to lie
Nothing I want, when by still waters, He leads me
My soul restored under His pleasant sky
And in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake.
Though I may walk within the darkness now
That valley where death's shadow lies and hearts will ache
Your presence through my veins with peace will flow
No fear of evil then can enter God's domain
The comfort of His rod and staff will be
Always correcting, always kind, His Love like rain
Anointed by His Spirit's clarity.....

And now my cup will overflow with richest Grace
The wonders of His goodness will combine
With His sweet mercy, like a river to embrace
All of my days, His purposes divine
Nothing temporary I will ever see
When in His house, I dwell eternally......
