SO MANY ROADS

by Kristine Stanton © 2025

So many roads with gravel stones,
deep ruts, and stumbling blocks —
I've tread upon these broken paths
and tripped o'er many rocks.

But when I fell, my Savior came
and took me in His arms.
He tended to my cuts and scrapes
which caused my soul great harm.

He led me from the darkened path
that I had traveled on,
and purged my soul of ugly stains —
from all things now foregone.

I'm ever grateful to the LORD
for coming to my aid.
He saved me from myself and more —
dark paths where I had strayed.
