Cast Your Cares Upon the Lord

"Give all your worries and cares to God,
for he cares about you."
(1 Peter 5:7, NLT)

I see the world through vast co-lors—
some fad-ed, dark, or bright;
and as I sail along in life,
my burdens become light.

I do not carry them with me—
I choose to let them go.
Each one is far too trou-ble-some—
I don't keep them in tow.

I leave them at the good LORD's feet—
detaching them from me.
The LORD then deals with my bur-dens
and sets my spirit free...

I'm free to follow Jesus Christ,
who sets my pathway straight,
but should I take my eyes off Him,
disorder I'll create.
