HELP THOSE IN DESPAIR

our hearts reach out in prayer.
We kneel before Your Throne to ask
You help those in despair.
With faithfulness and reverence
we pray with fervency,
and thank You for each answered prayer—
each one said earnestly. . .
Please let the spirit of Your peace
embrace each hurting soul.
Gather them beneath Your wing—
renew and make them whole.
Come rid them of their hopelessness—
encourage them with love.
Comfort them through desperate times—
Almighty God above.
Fill their days with You, dear LORD—
and meet their every need.
Please grant them courage—give them strength,
and weed out hopeless seeds.
Rejuvenate those in despair—
revive them all today.
Restore their hope and grant them joy—
in Your Son's name we pray.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," (Romans 15:13, NIV).
