GRATEFUL

I give the LORD my heartfelt thanks
for smiles I wear each day,
and for the joy He's granted me,
as I kneel down to pray.

My soul has been renewed by God —
my spirit's been set free.
I am most gracious for the LORD,
and all He's granted me.

I'm grateful for the good and bad
that's happened in my life
because they've taught me many things
and how to cope with strife.

I know that when I keep my eyes
upon the mighty LORD,
He hears my prayers and answers them,
and questions I've implored.

The many years I've been alive,
God's been right by my side.
He's seen me through the good and bad —
He's been my life-long Guide.

I count my blessings every day —
for all God's wondrous deeds.
He is the LORD of perfect Love
a love that n'er impedes.
