Why Love?

Some say that love is a feeling,
But is that all there is?
Since feelings tend to come and go,
There must be more than this.

True love can be so challenging,
So why would we pursue?
Though it's not always comfortable
It's the right thing to do.

Meeting the needs of other folks
Will give them some comfort,
Expressing human unity
While we provide support.

As we extend the love of God
To all of those around,
We are revealing who God is.
True love they will have found.

We find our place in God's story,
Giving His love away,
And find out who we really are
Sharing His love each day.
