When we shall know Him as we're known
And see Him as we're seen
How precious now the thought to me
To be then as He's been
It's true that now we're sons of God
Who know and see in part
As long as we are robed in flesh
And beats our mortal heart
How bright the Son shall shine the day
His glory is revealed
When all the saved shall bear at last
His image unconcealed
To know the breadth and width and height
Of love that has been shared
Will be a privilege hitherto
Unknown and ill-compared
A mortal frame cannot contain
His essence is too pure
A body new is promised there
As remedy and cure
At last we'll know as we are known
And gaze upon His face
Who loved, forgave and set apart
The objects of His grace
