Forgive Our Sins - Heal Our Land

that we have lost control.
He sees that wickedness has won
so many hearts and souls.
He's witness to our darkened world
that's spinning 'round and 'round —
a troubled land that's out-of-sorts,
in pain, confused, and bound.
And those caught up in this chaos
contain a hollowness —
a void that only God can fill
with peace — love — hopefulness.
It's those who seek the face of God
and turn from wicked ways,
that He will shine His face upon
and hear the prayers they pray. . .
He'll heal the lands on which they live —
the ones who went astray,
and He'll forgive their wickedness
and guide their steps each day.
