Love Divine

by Annie B © 2024

Oh, boundless sea of love so pure and bright,
Which fills our hearts with heaven's light,
Where we behold the face of God so true,
Reflected in the mirror of the Word anew.

In ancient texts, a whisper soft and clear,
His sacred truths, of His Love, we revere.
Where once we dwelt in shadowed lands,
Now, by Your grace, in brotherhood, we stand.

Behold, the children of the One above,
Whose very essence is the heart of love.
We marvel at the Source so vast and high,
Which brought forth eternal life so we will never die.

Human love that is not but a fleeting breeze,
Where selfishness and pride kill God's peace.
But Love that's born of Him, so deep and vast,
Can conquer all, from first to the very last.

In every act, in every tender word,
In every thought , through Him, we've been heard.
For in our weakness, He's made us strong,
And in our hearts, we've been cleansed from wrong.

All fear and doubt into the sea of grace,
Where we may rise and touch Your face.
Now we are known, as we have been loved,
Our hearts are forever intertwined above.

In this world marred by doubt and pain,
We're born of God and shall remain.
As He is pure, so let us be,
Reflecting His love in all we see.

Oh Love Divine, our hearts' true guide,
In God alone, we live and we abide.
Through every trial, through every storm,
His perfect Love will keep us warm.

For now, we see through a glass,
Soon we'll know as we are known to pass.
Into the realm where love reigns,
Where every tear is wiped away by pain.

Till that great day when we shall see,
God's love that's everlastingly free,
And with the angels, we shall cry,
"Worthy is the Lamb", our souls reply.

For in this life, we but prepare,
To meet our God in Heaven's atmosphere,
Where God's love in fullness we shall know,
And every heart will softly glow.

Lord God, our hearts to You we give,
Let us in purity, in You we shall live.
As children of the promise vast,
In Your embrace, forever last.
