From the tears of Jeremiah, a promise grew,
A branch from David, righteous and true.
Prophets foretold, and the Scriptures declared,
A Messiah would come, God's love prepared.
In Bethlehem's fields, where David once roamed,
The Savior was born, the Word made His home.
Son of Abraham, Son of the Most High,
On David's throne, He reigns from the sky.
Though righteous, He came in humility's guise,
Fulfilling all justice, the truth in His eyes.
At Jordan's waters, John's voice grew faint,
Yet Jesus insisted, "Let righteousness paint."
Not just a King, but a servant as well,
He carried our burdens, through heaven and hell.
In the Sermon He spoke, His words burned bright,
"Exceed the Pharisees, walk in My light."
Injustice may linger, the enemy's snare,
But righteousness triumphs, for Christ is there.
Through us, His justice shall spread and grow,
In every kind deed, His mercy will show.
As we recall His humble birth,
The Savior who walked among us on earth,
Let us hunger for righteousness, pure and divine,
Reflecting His glory, through love's holy sign.
O world of injustice, behold the dawn,
The righteous King reigns, all darkness withdrawn.
This Christmas, as we kneel in His grace,
Be His justice, His love, in every place.
