For unto us a Child is born,
A Son is given to break the scorn.
Upon His shoulders rests the key,
The Prince of Peace, our liberty.
Isaiah saw the promised light,
A world redeemed from endless night.
Zechariah spoke, "Our feet shall go,
In paths of peace His mercy shows."
The heavens sang, the shepherds heard,
"Peace on earth," God's holy word.
Simeon praised, his heart made whole,
"Now, Lord, I go in peace of soul."
The Risen One, to disciples near,
Spoke, "Peace be with you, do not fear."
When He ascended, His gift remained,
A peace eternal, forever sustained.
Perfect peace for the steadfast heart,
A trust in Him that won't depart.
No worldly ways, no fleeting art,
Can bring the peace He does impart.
From heaven to earth, He took His place,
To fill our hearts with boundless grace.
No illusion, no mirage can bind,
The peace of Jesus fills the mind.
O Prince of Peace, our hope, our stay,
Your love restores, shows us the way.
This Christmas tide, may hearts embrace,
Your perfect peace, Your boundless grace.
Above the sun, the truth is clear,
Jesus alone brings solace near.
Born in this world, God's gift profound,
The Prince of Peace in us is found.
