Immanuel: Our Constant Guide

As this year began, hope ran high,
But some dreams faded, and hearts ask why.
Yet through it all, the Lord stands near,
Emmanuel, with us, year to year.

From ancient times, His promise true,
A child was born for me and you.
Immanuel, God with us, our guide,
In every moment, He's by our side.

Through trials and pain, in sickness or fear,
He walks with us, always near.
In times of loneliness, in need or doubt,
His presence calms, His love pours out.

We are His Zion, His chosen bride,
He will never leave, forever beside.
Even when we think we've been forsaken,
His love is constant, never shaken.

A promise made, both old and new,
That God with us will see us through.

For Emmanuel, our Savior, is our light.
