The angels' power's are ministering
For God, to do His will
Conducting all His purposes
Which show a perfect skill
But Jewish thinking of the past
Would venerate their power
Giving to them more than they wished
And treating man as lower
An order that is plain to all
And Jesus took that place
Little lower than the angels
The wonder of His Grace
This glorious Man Himself upholds
The very universe
For He is God, and yet would then
The lowly path traverse
Despite all this, He has obtained
A so much better way
And all God's angels worship Him
While seated to display
The glorious Majesty on high
For God spoke in His Son
Voice of relentless suffering Love
For us His world has won.
Oh, praise this Man forever now!
Within the Holy Place
Who gave Himself that we would see
The beauty of His Face!
A greater Name has He obtained
Name above every name
His throne eternally will stand
And all will see His fame
This glorious One who purged our sins
By faith Who now we see
Seated in awesome Kingly power
For all eternity.
