choking on the dust of pity
breathing in the bitter,
staining the beauty of His grace
with the rust of glitter.

consuming our shallow lusts
starving amidst the yeast,
fulfillment seems out of reach
yearning an ugly feast…

nourished in the depth of favour
learning the Father's heart,
sustained in the beauty of His grace
from love - never to part.
