You are a prayer in someone's heart —
you're worthy — you are God's.
He knit you in your mother's womb
and planned where you're to trod.
He gave you life — He gave you breath —
He formed your precious heart.
He blessed the days ahead of you —
the days He will impart.
And though I have no children, dear,
I love you as my own.
I found you living on the streets —
wandering all alone.
That's when I offered you a place —
a place you now call "home" —
a place where you are ever safe
and have no need to roam.
Please know I hug your heart, dear one,
and pray for you each day,
in hopes the LORD will shelter you
and keep all harm away.
I pray the LORD deploys a force
of angels to your side,
to lift you up should you fall down —
to steer you — be your guide.
I pray you seek the good LORD's face
each day and every night.
He waits for you with open arms —
you're precious in His sight.
I know the LORD does answer prayers,
that's how you came to be.
I prayed for you 'fore you were born —
the LORD sent you to me.
