Oh, life of boundless grace, where sin once held its reign,
Now is crushed beneath the cross, where Jesus bore our pain.
Where shackles once did cling, we stand in freedom's light,
Released from death's embrace, in Christ, we rise to fight.
In chains of darkness deep, our spirits did despair;
Yet, love divine descended, to conquer and to care.
With nails, with thorns, with love, He bore the heavy load,
Our sins upon His shoulders, He paid the price we owed.
The crimson tide of mercy floods the barren desert sand,
Where once we stumbled, lost in disobedience's land.
Now bloom the roses of redemption's sweet perfume,
As we embrace the promise of eternal life to come.
Romans six, verse thirteen, a beacon in the night,
It calls us forth to live in freedom, to do what is right;
To offer up our bodies, once was the devil's playground;
As living sacrifices, to God's will we're forever bound.
The chains that held us fast, now lie in shattered heaps,
Our souls are set free, from sin's deep crevasses we leap.
We rise, we soar, we dance, in grace's gentle breeze,
The yoke is light, the burden lifted, and now we find our peace.
We march in triumph, as the conquered march without chains;
For in His death, we live, in His life we remain.
The power of the grave no longer holds its sway,
For we have died with Christ, to live a brand new day.
O life, O liberty, that springs forth from Calvary's tree,
Where love did triumph over darkness' tyranny.
In You, we find our hope, our strength, our eternal destiny,
For we are not our own, but bought with a price forever free.
In union with the One who broke every bonds of sin,
We live unto the Lord, our souls begin to sing.
In joyous rhythm of the Holy Spirit's song,
Where we will long, forever, right where we belong.
So let us live unto God, in holiness and awe,
Where love and grace and peace will dawn,
With every breath we take, with every beat of heart,
We'll serve the One who tore the veil apart.
