Ode to the Paternal Love of the Divine

by Annie B © 2025

Our mighty Father of the vast and boundless skies,
Who protects our hearts from those who despise us.
In the whispers of the warm embraces in dawn's light,
It's in the soft lullabies of the gentle cradling night.

With boundless grace, He guides our weary tread,
Where shadows lurk and the path is often unled.
His hand in ours, a gentle force so true,
It guides us in every step that becomes new.

When weary souls in the desert roam,
He provide the water and a Heavenly home.
In the wilderness of doubt and dismay,
He is the compass, forever showing the way.

With every breath that whispers forth His name,
We feel His warmth, unchanging, and the same.
His mercy, a balm on the coldest day;
A shield from the scorching sun's harsh rays.

The seasons of our lives, a tapestry divine,
Where joy and sorrow seem to intertwine.
In every thread, in every color that is bold,
His hand is present as His story in our lives unfold.

In the storm of life, when the world seems so cruel,
He is the calm, His words are the steadfast rule.
Our rock, our fortress, our guiding star,
A Father's love - forever we are.

As the moon waxes and wanes in the sky,
His love for us, we know, will never shall die.
A beacon of hope, a never-ending law
that the love of God is the greatest of all.

Praise for our Father, in kindness reign;
In every joy, in every single pain.
In the dance of life and the silent tears,
His presence is felt throughout the passing years.

In the twilight of our mortal decay,
When we must walk along the final way,
He will be the dawn that chases away night,
Guiding us to His Heavenly promised light.

This is our ode, to the love so vast,
The love of a Father, is forever steadfast.
A love that transcends the skies above,
Forever in our hearts, as we are loved.
