God's Redeeming Treasure

The gift of Life, so dearly bought, so free,
With the price of love beyond compare,
By grace bestowed through Calvary's tree;
Where the debt was no longer there.

Now, wondrous truth, in letters bold,
Stands testament to hearts made new,
In Christ alone, our hope is told;
Where Life eternal waits for me and you.

The path we trod, so dark and fraught with pain,
Where every step is a battle waged,
Where sin did reign, its power to stain,
Each fleeting moment of our day.

Yet, lo and behold! A change is wrought,
As Jesus came to live, to die, to rise;
To bear the load of guilt we brought,
And in His grace, our souls win the prize.

Behold the cross, where He was sacrificed,
That we might live, our chains will be unbound;
Where love was once crucified,
and the enemy would be confounded.

For wages paid, the bond is broken,
The sting of sin, forever lost,
In Jesus' name, our souls awoke,
To Life, to joy, to peace at any cost.

Now, Life we know as no longer slaves,
To sin's allure, we stand redeemed,
With hearts aglow, in grace, we are saved,
For Life eternal is what we have received.

This treasure, once concealed in the tomb,
Now shines forth from the empty grave;
The stone is rolled, the victory has come,
In Jesus' name, our souls are saved.
