The earth is quite an awesome place
With people spread across it's face
Both tall and short, some thin, some wide
Those meek, those shy, those filled with pride
The tender-hearted, not a few
Decisive, indecisive too
There's those hell-bent to cause a scene
The pure of heart and downright mean
The passive and aggressive meet
Upon the intersecting street
And in this vibrant coloured throng
We all must learn to get along
How blest are those with vision clear
Who understand their purpose here
Is not just to accumulate
But walk in faith and demonstrate
Their anchored hope and steadfast love
Is shifting eyes below above
Away from temporarily
To substance in eternity
The Gospel echoes from their word
Their actions mirror what is heard
The light of Christ sets them apart
In deed, in motive and in heart
This treasure found they won't disguise
To keep it hidden from your eyes
Each one's invited to believe
And from the Lord new life receive
The earth is quite an awesome place
With people spread across it's face
May every nation, tribe and race
Surrender to the God of grace
