Consider the Cost

What is the daily cost
of being true to God?
Is it worth the value
or should you only nod?

We're told to bear your cross;
God says His yoke is easy,
Is it deep and lasting
or is it something cheesy?

Feel the weight of faithful,
trust – though the cost is great,
Is serving filled with hope
or only just our fate?

"Consider it pure joy"
we wish the cost was cheaper,
does it mean we will enjoy
or is it something deeper?

Character it will build
when we lean on God's strength,
not leaving without value
no matter the trials length!

What is the daily cost
of living without Thee?
It is greater than we have
beyond what we can see…

So, make sure you surrender
resting in the Father's will,
It will never be easy
but it will your life fulfill!
