A Prayer for God's Ear

Dear LORD,

"The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples."
(Psalm 33:10, NIV)

We pray for peace throughout the world —
may all unite as one.
Infuse each heart with Your pure love
and let Your Will be done.

We pray You stop the vi-o-lence
and hatred claiming souls.
Bring harmony to every home —
don't let sin have control.

We pray You foil evil plans —
please thwart them 'fore they start.
Deliver all the world from sin
and heal each hardened heart.

We pray there be no dis-sen-tion
and that we treat each one
with love, grace, mercy, and respect,
as Jesus Christ has done.

We pray You guard our hearts and minds —
let no one be enticed.
Please bless the world with perfect peace
through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

We pray that everyone on Earth
gives thanks and praise to You,
and that they show You great respect
in all they say and do.

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
