Hand in Hand

Many people have crossed my weary path
And as they were passing by
They often taught me when to laugh
And sometimes how to cry
I have learned from them to chase my dreams
While learning how to dance
They showed me that victory would not come
If I never took a chance
I've accepted that I make mistakes
As well as others do
And in learning true forgiveness
Is how I've made it through
But the lesson that I needed most
Was the one from up above
God just put my hand in his
And he taught me how to love
