God’s Timing

I'm striving to do better
My path he's making straight

We rush to feel a paradise
God's timing makes us wait

For us, it feels like miles
Through hills with crooked trails

Our struggles simply won't compete
With crosses, thorns, and nails

Rejoice since Jesus is alive
His love for us remains

We've found eternal life through Christ
Who's broken all our chains

The devil has been overcome
Since Jesus shed his blood

I used to drown in fear and shame
But Jesus stopped the flood

My faith's becoming stronger
My doubt has gone away

I speak to God throughout the day
Through fear, I'll always pray

Without the Lord, I'm simply dust
With Jesus, I'm alive

Although I struggle with some sin
For glory, I will strive

I know the Lord is proud of me
His mercy set me free

A godly wife, with joy and love
Is who I want to be

Although the future is unknown
God prospers, never harms

Since Jesus paid the price for us
I'm safe within his arms
