Pilate would say 'Behold the Man'
Here was a monumental theme
On the stark Cross, no other can
Attain to that Divine esteem
God's greatest Plan.
Pilate's assurance could not know
His words were truth for all to see
'This is your King,' the Jews to show
Words that will stand through history
Eternal flow.
His words are blazoned on our hearts
No other Man can we behold
The Living One from first to last
Where fire produced the purest gold
From satan's blast.
This Man, who God would glorify
This Man, who all the world will see
This Man, the champion of the sky
The champion now of you and me
Our bonds untie.
