Snowflakes drifting in the shadows,
slowly sinking in;
bleeding roses left in sorrows,
where do I begin?
Reflections disturbed by heartache,
heavy and real dim;
when life's portrait is a deep fake,
faith becomes quite dim.
Scarlet blood staining rugged cross,
my sin placed on Him;
all shadows becoming His loss,
healing all my grim.
Golden valleys now within my sight,
grace restoring hope;
fresh journey – discovered in His light,
beauty within scope.
Changing landscapes still before me,
God's love is still the same;
on His sure mercy will I plea,
forgiveness mine to claim.
Barren plains or refreshing springs,
I have true peace within;
no matter what the season brings,
with God I now begin!
