HOLD MY HAND

Jesus, would you please hold my hand?
On Your promises, I will stand.
Sometimes, I may stray from You…
But it's not what I want to do!

I want to stay close by Your side,
And with Your will, always abide.
At times, the evil one tempts me,
But I beg him to let me be!

I hate it when Satan tempts me,
Then I call on Jesus with my plea.
My goal is to be more and more like You,
Every day, being made anew.

So, Lord, keep a tight hold on me,
Help me to be the best I can be.
With Your help, I can do much better,
I truly want to be a peacemaker.

Jesus, You always know what is best,
And that will be my ultimate quest.

Knowing on You, I can always lean!
