Campground

by Mark W Terpin
https://allpoetry.com/Mwterpin

An open Bible on the floor,
A campfire is to me;
As in a sleeping bag before,
Recumbent I would be.

My bedroom ceiling like a sky
Spreads over me at night,
No danger can approach nearby
Or abrogate my Light.

For peacefully through wilderness,
My Guide on watch will keep,
Who gives defense by faithfulness
And His beloved sleep.
