I AM A CHILD OF GOD

I am no longer a slave to fear,
I am a child of God.
I choose to walk trusting Him,
In His presence I am awed.

I love knowing He is near,
Always walking by my side.
He is ever-present,
And in Him I can confide!

He is my very best friend,
Of that I am so sure.
I talk with Him every day,
He makes me feel secure!

I can go to Him any time,
Morning noon or night,
And in my darkness…
He is my bright light.

Without Him, I am nothing,
That's very plain to see.
I am just a small leaf,
He is the giant tree!

One day I will be with Jesus,
He will open the pearly gate.
For that final day,
I can hardly wait!
