Apart from You. . .

by Kristine Stanton © 2025

Dear LORD,

Apart from You, I cannot thrive —
unto Your hands, I'm born.
You gave me life — my very breath —
with love, I am adorned.

It's in my mother's womb You knit
my body, spirit, soul.
You know my heart — You know me well —
You're One who'll make me whole.

Fearfully and splendidly
I'm made with perfect love —
love that comes from You, my LORD,
Hosannah, God above.

Where can I go that You don't know —
You know my thoughts and deeds,
and every hair upon my head —
You meet my every need.

I thank You, LORD, for loving me —
for blessing me each day.
Apart from You, I would not thrive —
I'd truly slip away.
