Busy Doing Still

be still - sounding nice to me
so, I make effort now to do,
me too busy to just be
consumed by the what - not who

elaborate quiet times I craft
always restless in doing still,
instead, allow my God to graft
into my life; His goodness spill

intimacy - in to me see
when my attention is to be,
knowing God deeply is the key
living life on bended knee

resting in the refuge of His will
aware of His delight and favor,
leaving the rush and crush - be still
flourishing - His presence, I savor

Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.

Note: Too often I try doing still - instead of being still. We still need to be intentional in being still. But it is not something for us to achieve - more something we experience and something God gifts. His presence is the true blessing - not the feeling we create, but the grace and love He bestows.

Why not just BE with God - today! for He desires to BE with us - what a glorious thought and truth.
