DAYBREAK

by Kristine Stanton © 2025

Daybreak has come — I see its face
ascending in the East.
It's rising 'bove the hor-i-zon
as brightness is unleashed.

The ocean greets this morning's sun
as waves roll toward the shore.
Each breaker in the sunlight's glow
adds to the Earth's décor.

Before my eyes, this rendition
performs with flawless grace.
I'm mesmerized — I am in awe
as sun rays kiss my face.

The LORD has blessed me on this day —
a blessing I've embraced.
This vision will be ever etched —
a mem'ry n'er erased.
