Hope For The Future
Today we face very trying times,
Of heartache and of pain.
Many hopes and dreams are shattered,
And prayers seem to be in vain.

With the hope of peace diminishing,
The heart has no definitive song.
We've waited for an end to hostilities,
But the struggle seems so long.

Yet, there is hope for the future,
Liberty and freedom are still in command,
And God will make the ultimate decisions,
He will evaluate our worldly demands.

Yes, he holds the future in his grasp,
So why should we despair?
He mourns and counts our every tear,
And He hears our every prayer.

May we never give up on hope,
Because without hope we cannot survive.
We never know what tomorrow holds,
So for hope we must strive.

Our Father in Heaven takes care of us,
And surely knows our strife.
If we place our faith in Him,
He will give us eternal life.
