"As the light approaches,
the earth takes shape like clay
pressed beneath a seal;
it is robed in brilliant colors."
(Job 38: 14, NLT)
So many colors in this world —
some faded, dark, or bright.
Each one impresses me some way —
some grant my world delight.
Soft color tones are comforting —
they bring warmth to my heart.
Each seems to paint my inner core
as Yahweh's work of art.
The brighter shades are livelier
and stimulate my mind.
They make my senses come alive —
each color God designed.
Dark overtones bring somberness
and take away my shine.
They tend to steal the glow in me
and dim the light that's mine.
All colors do affect my life
in some way, shape, or form.
But every shade is of the LORD —
some make me cold — some warm.
