As sheep they munch the lush green grass
For that is what sheep do
Come rain or shine, each day will pass
And they will only chew.
Their heads are raised, then they will see
Their trusted shepherd man
For sheep are what they're meant to be
To follow all they can.
The Shepherd calls, His voice they know
They scramble to His side
To follow Him, safe from the foe
Their faithful, loving Guide.
False shepherds lead the sheep astray
To only follow them
And show a subtle, different way
Where light of God is dim.
All sheep, a leader will obey
Whose either wrong or right
The wrong, controls, and will betray
The right shows Love and Light.
We all are sheep who walk the earth
Some praise an earthly king
Who rules the world, devoid of worth
Captivity to bring.
And others find a heavenly Man
The Shepherd who would die
Who saves and leads them to His Land
His Palace in the sky.
