As in a swing anchored from heaven,
He rocks me gently in the breeze
And murmurs, "No more sin-driven."
A soul set free, a soul set free.
As a sainted-sinner once writhen
By both transgressions and misdeeds,
The Lord whispers, "You're forgiven."
A soul set free, a soul set free.
As a child that needs comfort given,
God croons to me so tenderly
And will ne'er fail to deliver
A soul set free, a soul set free.
His salvation gift boldly written
In the Book of Life ev'n for me
Guarantees will ne'er imprison
A soul set free, a soul set free.
