Ode to the Father of Glory

by Annie B © 2025

To the Father of Glory, whose name always resonates,
In the vast expanse of the heavenly abode,
Where cherubs and seraphim in worship await,
Your splendorous presence, our souls will know.

Bestower of wisdom, from whom knowledge flows,
Through the veil of the mundane, to our mortal minds,
With a gentle touch of Your mighty hand, You sow
The seeds of revelation, for our hearts to find.

The eyes of our hearts, once blinded by doubt,
Now open wide to behold Your glorious grace,
As Your light shines forth, we are turned about,
To see in Your Word the hope we now face.

A hope that transcends the allure of gold,
A hope that is anchored in Jesus our Lord,
To be part of Your kingdom of old
In whom we are called, by Your Sacred Word.

What riches await in Your blessed name,
More precious than jewels in a treasure trove,
Saints of old, with their hearts aflame,
Their legacy, a love that will never dissolve.

The hope that You give is not one to hoard,
But to share with the lost and the lonely,
A beacon in the night through Your loving word
To guide us to a life that is holy.

In the face of despair, Your might will abound,
In the darkest night, Your strength we retrieve,
Through the power that raised Christ from the ground,
In every trial, with You, we shall achieve.

Lord, You are our God, whose name is above all,
Whose power is perfect in love so divine,
With the spirit of wisdom, may we be found,
Reflecting Your beauty throughout all time.

Let the knowledge of You be our guide,
Through the trials and joys of this earthly life,
May our hearts be ever enlightened by Your Light
As we journey forth, till the end of the strife.

Father of Glory, to You we aspire,
With hope as our compass, and faith our shield,
May Your power, like a consuming fire,
Burn bright, as we learn to yield.

To the hope that calls, and the riches await
In the fullness of Your glorious reign,
We lift our hearts in humble adoration and state,
All praise to the God who does not wane.
