Tears of Depth

goodbye faithful friend
its hard to say farewell,
sacred memories
fading from where I dwell.

grief heavy on my heart
leaving scars not meant to heal,
love impacts who I am
reaching depths I cannot feel.

tears water the flowers
blooming despite the shadows,
the colour does not fade
in deep valleys or plateaus.

friendship held as precious
a treasure rich with depth,
learning from connection
love not confined by death.

grey is painted in the sky
embraced, for it enhances
the full beauty found in love,
much deeper than mere glances.

resting in God's refuge
forever in His care,
grace completes the landscape
in glory - not despair.
